MMA – “Real Fighting, No Fluff”

The Elite Combat Club – “Real Fighting No Fluff”

Hi there, thanks for visiting one of the premier Martial Arts Training facilities in the DFW. The Elite Combat Club is the ultimate in MMA – it’s al about “Real Fighting, No Fluff.”

We are located in Marshfield, MA. between Quincy and Plymouth. We are a unique Self Defense school offering a host of Martial Arts styles and classes.

Our philosophy at The Elite Combat Club is:

1. To teach the student the importance of physical and mental discipline

2. To instill within the student the value of respecting self and others

3. To teach the student how to become aware of his/her surroundings and adapt as needed

4. To provide the student with realistic methods of true combat.

The goal of The Elite Combat Club is to equip the student with the necessary tools to fight at any range: weapons, hand-to-hand combat, kicks, or close encounter (or grappling).

This is what Bruce Lee referred to as “being able to close the gap” or fight at any range. All too often the typical martial artist is proficient with his/her hands, feet, or ground work but rarely all the aforementioned.

Due to fact that a high percentage of fights involve weapons, we provide the student with a system to deal with such situations. This system is not about sport-karate or points but a realistic semi/full contact scenario to allow the student to react quickly and effectively.

This is what is often referred to in sports as reacting from one’s “muscle memory.” The key and benefit of reacting from “muscle memory” is that the student no longer has to think what to do next but reacts naturally and with confidence when faced with a real combat situation.

The Elite Combat Club is not about tradition, belts or ceremonies. It’s not about Karate, Kung- fu, Tae-Kwon-Do or any one style. It’s not about sports or tournaments, and it is certainly not about rules. It’s about discovering what works best for you. Through the years I have had countless individuals ask me, what style of martial arts is best? The reality is it’s not so much about the style but about you! I said it earlier and I’ll say it again; “It’s about discovering what works best for you.”

We are one of the few Martial Arts schools in the Boston area that offers a complete system of Self Defense.

Common Questions

Q. What do you mean by a “complete system” of Martial Arts?

A. While there are a number of good Martial Arts schools out there our school is simply different.

We are different because we offer Self Defense training that includes standup, groundwork and weapons starting day one.

Q. What style(s) do you teach?

A. Our Martial Arts school teaches a number of systems that are properly blended together to form a complete system (as opposed to a fragmented, disjointed form of Martial Arts).

In this system the student will learn various aspects of Self Defense which include: Western Boxing, Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) often referred to as Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Wing Chun, Russian Sambo, Small Circle Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Wu Wei Gung Fu, Kali, MMA style fighting and weapons.

Q. What is Western Boxing?                                                                                                           A. A form of Self Defense that relies on fighting with one’s hands.

Q. What is BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)?                                                                                            A. A form of Martial Arts that relies predominantly on groundwork.

Q. What is Kick Boxing?

A. A form of Martial Arts that relies on fighting with one’s feet.

Q. What is Muay Thai?                                                                                                                     A. A form of Martial Arts that relies on fighting with one’s feet and elbows.

Q. Which style is best?                                                                                                                    A. This is a very common question. The question ought to be, which style is best for me?

The fact is most styles have their limitations, for example: one style may emphasize kicks, which will cause the student to be non-affective with his/her hands.

Another style places emphasis on the hands causing the student to be weak in the area of kicks.

One style may rest heavily on groundwork, which minimizes the student’s effectiveness if the fight doesn’t go to the ground.

Therefore it is incumbent for the student to learn to fight and survive in all arenas (stand up, ground work and even weapons).

This is precisely why we have a system designed to work in virtually every scenario.

FACT: We are a no nonsense organization dedicated to teaching realistic self defense!

Learn the Most Dangerous Fighting styles on the Planet: JKD (Jeet Kune Do), BJJ(Brazilian Ju Jitsu), Russian Sambo, Small Circle Ju Jitsu, Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Wu Wei, Kali, Weapons, Ground Work, Wing Chun and more.
